3D modeling and printing activities by MSP at the beginning of summer

It has been a dynamic period for the MSP team, as we visited several educational institutions and organized workshops for students passionate about technology and learning.

Why do we do this?

In today’s rapidly evolving digital world, developing digital skills has become an educational priority. European statistics show that Romania still has important progress to make in this area, which makes educational initiatives even more valuable for helping students build the skills they need to learn, create, and adapt successfully to future challenges.

MSP’s mission is to connect students with technology through educational activities focused on 3D technologies and robotics.

Visiting Metropolitan School A.R.C.

The MSP team had the pleasure of participating in an event organized by Metropolitan School A.R.C., where students explored the world of 3D design through the SmartLab mobile laboratory.

Guided by our colleague Laurentiu Dinu, participants took their first steps in using the Tinkercad platform, learning how to turn ideas and sketches into 3D models. Their excitement grew even more when their projects came to life with the help of a 3D printer.

We are happy to have contributed to this experience dedicated to school students awarded for their outstanding achievements in computer science, and we thank the organizers for inviting us to be part of such a special day.

We believe that activities like these help young people see technology not only as a tool, but also as a space for creativity, experimentation, and personal growth.

A new experience at “Costin C. Kirițescu” Economic College

We also reconnected with technology enthusiasts from “Costin C. Kirițescu” Economic College for another educational experience in the world of 3D printing.

Laurentiu, member of the Măgurele Science Park team, prepared an interactive and practical session on 3D modeling and printing, held in the school’s SmartLab laboratory.

During the workshop, school students explored:

  1. advanced use of the Tinkercad platform;
  2. discovering and using slicers for 3D printing.

Through creativity, collaboration, and the application of technical knowledge, students succeeded in turning ideas into real objects, gaining a better understanding of the full digital design and manufacturing process.

3D workshops for Children’s Day and the Kids & Family Siesta festival

The SmartLab mobile laboratory joined both the Children’s Day festival in Dumitrana Park and the Kids & Family Siesta festival.

We thank the Cultural Center of Măgurele City and Modern Family Romania for the invitation and for helping us bring smiles and memorable educational experiences to children on these special occasions.

It is always a joy to spend time among children and introduce them to the fascinating world of 3D technologies. We hope these workshops were inspiring for the participants and that we will meet again soon at future educational activities organized by the MSP team.
