GeoEcoMar

The National Research – Development Institute for Marine Geology and Geoecology – GeoEcoMar was established in 1993 under the name of the Romanian Center for Marine Geology and Geoecology.

The technical potential and the scientific performances achieved, in a short period of time, allowed it to obtain the status of “institute of national interest”, whose main objective is the complex research of the Danube macrogeosystem – the Danube Delta – the Black Sea coastal area – Black Sea.
