About the Event
On May 19 and 20, 2025, the Porto Inova Business Center will host Start-up Day – the Technological and Business Fair, an international matchmaking event dedicated to showcasing innovative circular solutions for the Textile, Plastics & Packaging, and Agri-food sectors.
Organized under the SoTecIn Factory initiative, coordinated by INESC TEC, the fair aims to connect start-ups with investors, strategic partners, and industry representatives.
SoTecIn Factory is a European initiative focused on promoting social and technological innovation in industrial value chains, with an emphasis on circularity, sustainability, and positive impact.
Over two days, 30 European start-ups will present technologies, products, and services designed to create a positive social and environmental impact, accelerating the transition to a circular economy.
The program includes an exhibition area, pitch sessions, thematic talks, and B2B matchmaking meetings — all designed to encourage strategic partnerships and international collaboration.
Start-ups from 14 countries will present solutions ranging from artificial intelligence and bioplastics to green logistics, digital platforms, and waste reuse. The addressed value chains include agricultural production, compostable packaging, recyclable textile fibers, and traceability software.
