About Enterprise Europe Network Romania
Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) is the initiative of the European Union, being the largest network that supports companies to innovate and develop their activity in other markets, through specialized services provided by experts from over 600 centers, with specific expertise, located in every region of the European Union and not only.
The mission of the Enterprise Europe Network Centers is to provide support to local companies to internationalize their businesses, by offering the following services:
• Internationalization;
• Support within the Single Market;
• Innovation and Technological Transfer;
• Access to financing;
• Digitization;
• Sustainability and resilience.
General objective
The “PROSME – Promotion of SMEs from Romania through the Enterprise Europe Network” project offers companies and entrepreneurs from Macro-region 3 support services in the field of business development, by making available to organizations from the component counties of the Bucharest-Ilfov and South-Muntenia regions the resources of over 600 partner organizations in the Enterprise Europe Network.
The project supports the competitiveness and sustainability of enterprises (SMEs) in the RO3 Macro-region to benefit from the opportunities offered by the single market and global markets to innovate, develop and expand internationally.
At the same time, it wants to create a context and ensure a framework of services for SMEs, which will assist them in their recovery from the pandemic crisis.
Specific objectives
Specific Objectives of the PROSME Project
Throughout the 42-month implementation period, the PROSME consortium aims to achieve the following objectives:
Support SMEs in adapting to the challenges of the Single Market and in planning their business strategies accordingly;
Facilitate SMEs’ transition to sustainable business models, through awareness and dedicated support;
Encourage innovation within SMEs, both in products/services and internal processes, including digital transformation;
Build economic resilience of SMEs by strengthening their capabilities;
Assist SMEs in expanding internationally and improving their cross-border business activities;
Inform and guide SMEs on accessing EU funding, including for innovation, research, and internationalization efforts;
Enable SMEs to participate in the EU policymaking process, ensuring their voices are heard;
Promote SME success stories systematically, increasing their visibility and impact;
Integrate the PROSME consortium into the regional innovation and business ecosystem, through collaboration with local stakeholders and multipliers;
Enhance the visibility and recognition of the EEN network, especially within Macroregion 3;
Improve the capabilities and workflows of the PROSME consortium, to ensure efficient service delivery;
Actively participate in EEN capacity-building and coordination activities, including networking and best practice sharing.
Expected Results:
At least 80 SMEs will be supported in adapting to Single Market challenges and the twin digital and green transition;
17 SMEs will receive in-depth advisory or partnering services to foster innovation and international growth;
Communication activities, particularly online, will ensure that PROSME and EEN are strategically positioned and well recognized within the region.

4.1. Participation to network centralized / decentralized training sessions and other activities (study visits, peer-to-per learning events) approved by the Agency

4.3. Participation to consortium and national consortia events (consortium meetings, Romanian consortia meetings, etc)
4.4. Participation / contribution to EU campaigns

According to the consolidated report, the project results are as follows:

Communication and Visibility Activities
The MSP team carried out an intensive campaign to promote PROSME, including:
152 social media posts and website updates, promoting EEN opportunities, events, and success stories.
144 articles published on the MSP platform and thematic newsletters addressed to the community.
14 articles published in the MSP magazine.
7 media appearances, both local and national.
Networking and Collaboration
Networking was a central pillar, resulting in:
Participation in 28 international matchmaking events, where supported SMEs had the opportunity to meet with partners from over 20 countries.
471 individual B2B sessions between Romanian companies and potential foreign partners.
Events Organized
MSP coordinated the organization of 42 events dedicated to the internationalization and development of SMEs, including:
Thematic workshops on financing, digitalization, and sustainability.
Training sessions on internationalization, access to finance, and digitalization.
Matchmaking events, both physical and online, where over 70 entrepreneurs interacted with EEN experts and explored partnership opportunities in Central Europe and Asia.
Impact and Conclusions
In the three and a half years of implementation, MSP has established itself as a resource and opportunity center for SMEs in Bucharest-Ilfov and South Muntenia. The indicators exceeded the set objectives in many cases, demonstrating the efficiency and relevance of the interventions.
Through access to the EEN network, local entrepreneurs benefited from:
Strategic advisory for internationalization.
Identification of new markets and relevant partners.
Increased innovation and digitalization capacity.
Access to funding sources tailored to their needs.
Magurele Science Park intends to continue supporting these activities, focusing on internationalization, sustainability and digitalization.
