The International Center for Advanced Training and Research in Physics (CIFRA) is a Category 2 center under the auspices of UNESCO. The Center carries out its activity on the Măgurele Physics Platform and functions as a subsidiary with the legal personality of the National Institute for Materials Physics.
CIFRA’s objectives include providing advanced training and research opportunities for scientists from Central and Eastern European countries and developing countries, as well as conducting and coordinating advanced studies in physics and related interdisciplinary subjects while providing expertise in these areas.
CIFRA is part of the UNESCO network made up of dozens of institutes and centers from all over the world that carry out activities in the fields of natural sciences and education.”
