The National Research and Development Institute for Cryogenic and Isotopic Technologies – ICSI Rm. Valcea is a scientific research and technological development unit under the coordination of the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization.
The mission of the National Research and Development Institute for Cryogenic and Isotopic Technologies – ICSI is to grow as an internationally research unit by providing new scientific knowledge in its specific field of activity, having the following priorities: excellence in scientific research, excellence in the transfer of technology and products to economy and orientation of activities towards the demands of today’s society.
Among the main components of ICSI’s mission, the following can be mentioned:
- supporting the nuclear energy through Research-Development and Innovation activities.
- development and implementation of hydrogen-based technologies and sources of renewable energies.
- study of topics related to environmental protection and food security.
