The Go Global by EEN – Types of Strategies in Business Internationalization event, held on July 23 at STUP, took place full house. Over 50 business representatives, consultants, researchers, and enthusiastic young entrepreneurs were eager to hear success stories about internationalizing products and services, especially in the US & UK markets, directly from the guests.
Here’s what we learned from the speakers:
Roxana Lupașcu – Project Coordinator EEN2EIC – Măgurele Science Park Romania, presented tools and methods through which companies can reevaluate their business model, determine their stage of development, and obtain funding for international scaling through #EIC programs. She also provided some tips that can help in preparing an “almost perfect” proposal. Additionally, she encouraged participants developing innovative ideas that can significantly impact the market to apply for these funding sources and to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset: critical thinking – out-of-the-box, big ideas, creativity, and motivation to succeed, but also openness to risk and failure.
Claudiu Vrînceanu – the event moderator & EEN advisor, introduced us to the practical aspects of internationalization from the PROSME-EEN Project, presenting several examples, such as Atlas Navi and Skill Polis, and relevant use cases from the field. He skillfully led the dialogues with the speakers, obtaining some valuable statements from the guests.
“We managed to grow through a mix of partnerships and networking, which allowed us to be present in the best market for businesses: the US market. Potential partners you approach will say ‘yes’ if you show them something valuable.”Ionut Gavrilescu – co-founder of FieldOS, guided us through FieldOS’s journey on the international market, highlighting the entrepreneurial differences between the US and Romania, emphasizing the importance of partnerships and networking.

“It is important to be present at networking events; no one can promote your vision better than you. Also, choosing the right partners is essential for long-term development and in avoiding potential conflicts between the involved parties.”
Ștefan Chira – founder of Kotys Tech, emphasized the importance of connections through events and networking, and that partner selection should be done following an analysis to avoid potential conflicts.
“When targeting a specific country to internationalize your business, it is important to know their culture and understand the market you want to enter. For the UK market, references are what count; the second client shows that the first wasn’t just a fluke. My advice is not to start alone, to have partners alongside you.”
Vlad Cazan – KFactory co-founder, stressed the importance of developing references when aiming to enter the UK market.
We thank all the participants for their active involvement in the Q&A session and for their curiosity during the presentations. We are here to support you on your journey towards #internationalization, offering our support through the PROSME project as well as through #EEN2EIC.
