In 2025, MSP brought science and technology closer to approximately 1,200 school students through a series of interactive and engaging educational activities.
Over 850 students participated in our educational activities carried out together with MSP community partners. Whether we refer to visits during classes dedicated to 3D modeling and printing, visits to research laboratories within research institutions, or participation in festivals that connect science with students (such as Researchers’ Night), all of these show that students are interested in deepening the concepts taught in school, but especially in experiencing science beyond the mandatory curriculum.
MSP also participated in the Măgurele Science and Technology Summer School, where Daniela Staicu – co-creator of ALTRNTV, and Teodora Vasâlcă-Cimpoi (Founder of Newsenergy.ro) held discussions with 70 high school students on the topic of sustainability and recycling.

AI and programming
We collaborated with schools where we delivered presentations or hands-on activities related to AI and programming, such as: “Ioan Bădescu” Gymnasium School, the Polytechnic High School, and the Romanian-Finnish High School, together with Bit&R, a non-governmental organization dedicated to bringing children closer to STEM disciplines and with whom we enjoyed a fruitful collaboration.
3D modeling and printing

We also visited schools in the Bucharest-Ilfov region, where we introduced young students to a 3D printer, allowing them to learn the steps of modeling and printing a 3D object. Among the schools that enjoyed our activities are: “Ion Barbu” School, “I. G. Duca” School, Dragomirești-Vale School No. 1 and Dragomirești-Deal School No. 2, Helikon School, School No. 124, InaSchool, “Kirițescu” High School and the Polytechnic High School.
Visits to research institutes
Visits to research institutes such as: the Institute for Space Science, INCDIE ICPE-CA – the National Institute for Research and Development in Electrical Engineering ICPE-CA Bucharest, INCDFM – the National Institute for Research and Development in Materials Physics, and the National Institute for Research and Development for Chemistry and Petrochemistry – ICECHIM Bucharest, were joined by the following schools and high schools: “Horia Hulubei” High School in Măgurele, School No. 1 Buftea, “Barbu Știrbey” High School, “Regina Maria” School, “Federico Garcia Lorca” School, ICHB High School, Polytechnic High School.

Festivals dedicated to science and technology
To promote science and technology, MSP participated with educational 3D modeling and printing activities at several student-oriented festivals, such as Researchers’ Night, the Kids and Family Siesta event, and the Children’s Day event on June 1st in Dumitrana Park in Măgurele. In total, 50 workshops on 3D modeling and printing were held for attending children, during which they modeled and printed a small 3D object.
Competitions and collaborations
Another 80 students joined our competitions dedicated to stimulating creativity and developing digital skills: the 3D modeling and printing contest, the Make Your City Smart robotics competition, and the Challenge of Minds contest, organized as part of the optional class “Ora de știut”.
In total, MSP established collaborations with 15 educational entities, from NGOs to public and private schools and high schools, strengthening an ecosystem in which education becomes an active objective of the community.
We are happy to offer children experiences that encourage curiosity, spark imagination, and support the development of digital skills in a relaxed, friendly environment, different from the formal setting of the classroom.
Testimonials
“From the perspective of a teacher, I consider the 3D modeling and printing competition organized by MSP to be an extremely valuable initiative, because it offers students the opportunity to combine theoretical knowledge with practical applicability. They not only learn new concepts, but also put them into practice, developing their creativity, logical thinking, and teamwork skills.”
Cristina Marghescu – math teacher at Gymnasium School No. 311, Bucharest
“Already strengthened through the annual sponsorship of the 3D modeling and printing competition, which we are pleased to support year after year, the partnership between FormWerk and Măgurele Science Park has enormous potential for school students’ education, as it brings together technology and the academic environment in a concrete collaborative framework.”
Yannick Bastian – CEO, FormWerk
“This competition organized by MSP helps us develop our team spirit through the amazing challenges it offers, and because it allows us to deepen our understanding of 3D technology using the software we work with for 3D modeling.”

End-of-year reflections
It has been a year filled with student-focused activities, a year full of accomplishments in which students surprised us with their imagination and innovative abilities. We look forward to stepping into the new year with even more enthusiasm and dedication, to further facilitate the younger generation’s access to educational activities that help them discover and develop their STEM competencies.
