Education for the cities of the future
The robotics competition “Make Your City Smart”, organized by MSP in partnership with RoboHub, aims to stimulate students’ creativity, critical thinking, and digital skills by challenging them to identify innovative solutions for smarter and more sustainable cities.
In recent weeks, the MSP team has carried out a series of direct promotional activities in schools to bring information closer to both students and teachers.

Information visits to schools in Bucharest
An important first step was organizing three informative sessions at School no. 311 in Bucharest and School no. 279 and Evrika School delivered by Florentina and Daniela from the MSP team.
During these meetings, students learned:
- the objectives of the competition;
- how to develop a robotics project that addresses a real community need;
- the stages of registration and participation.
The discussions were interactive, and the strong interest shown by students confirmed their openness toward robotics and smart technologies.
Promotion During SmartLab Măgurele Activities
The competition was also presented to students participating in introductory 3D technology workshops held at SmartLab Măgurele. On this occasion, students from Dărăști School no. 1 had the opportunity to explore concrete examples of technological projects and understand how their ideas can be transformed into functional solutions for a smart city.
Direct interaction with technology and the organizing team significantly increased students’ interest in joining the competition.

Institutional support in Ilfov county
An essential role in expanding the promotion was played by the Ilfov County School Inspectorate, which supported the distribution of information about the competition in schools across Ilfov County.
This collaboration strengthens the partnership between the educational sector and initiatives dedicated to developing STEM and digital competencies.
Over 120 Students Informed Directly
Through these activities, the “Make Your City Smart” competition was promoted in person, directly reaching approximately 120 students from Bucharest and Ilfov County. We visited students from the following schools: Evrika School, School No. 279, and School No. 311.
It was a real joy to answer the students’ questions and invite them to explore, in this unique format, the profession of being young programmers for a day.
We are honored to have had the opportunity to interact with the students, respond to their questions, and present the benefits of participating in a competition that combines robotics, innovation, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

We invite you to turn ideas into creative solutions!
We encourage all SCHOOL students aged 10 to 12 who are passionate about technology, robotics, and innovation to register for the competition and contribute ideas that can transform cities into smarter and more efficient spaces.
We look forward to receiving the participants’ projects and are confident that this edition will bring forward creative and relevant solutions for the community.
