Follow-up: Reconnect 2024 Researchers’ Night

As is the tradition, this year we participated again at the event dedicated to science: Reconnect 2024 Researchers’ Night, where we welcomed the students with educational surprises from the world of 3D modeling and printing.

This year’s theme was: Research for Science and Peace and this symbolized an opportunity for researchers or early stage researchers who want to popularize the results of their research among young people, to attract them to STEM fields .

Our colleague, Laurentiu, presented the students behind the scenes of modeling and 3D printing, and the little ones were as always eager to explore new territories of knowledge and deepen notions.

What happened on the first day of the event?

The event took place on September 27, at the roundabout in Children’s World Park, Bucharest. We spent a beautiful and sunny summer day with the little ones at the MSP stand, where we invited them to discover the mysteries of 3D modeling and printing, why some objects can be softer or stiffer and how to give life using the TinkerCad modeling program and a 3D printer to different objects that can have the most diverse utilities.

What happened on the second day of the event?

On the second day, we met again with the kids in the afternoon, but this time in Măgurele, where the research platform is located. Again, we were assailed by the good will and enthusiasm of the little ones, and at the end of the day, we realized that we brought science closer to over 100 students who visited our stand and we printed more than 50 keychains with the children.

We hope to see you again and to join us at next year’s event and we also hope to have equally good results. We would like to thank all the children who visited us, left an impression and showed us their passion for science and technology.
