The participation of the #MSP team at GoTech World 2024 was a valuable opportunity to interact with industry leaders, explore technological innovations, and exchange ideas with other professionals. The event was an excellent occasion to showcase solutions developed within the community, engage in networking sessions, and learn about emerging trends in technology. This year’s edition brought together over 120 experts and 100 exhibiting companies, with artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and their impact on the future being the main themes of the event.
On November 12 and 13, the MSP team from the PROSME Project participated in the international GoTech World 2024 event, the largest B2B expo-conference for IT and digital solutions in Central and Eastern Europe, as a “Business Transformation Networking Partner.”
We created a dedicated networking area for the project, showcased representative solutions from the MSP community, joined by FIA Integra SRL, INCDFM, INFLPR, SeedPods SRL, Irisphera SRL and Syndical SRL, and organized a series of interactive activities aimed at ambitious companies and the business people behind them.
We were also present on the Business Transformation stage with the session “Empowering Growth: leveraging deep tech innovation for transformative change in emerging markets,” which explored the significant role of advanced technological innovations — such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and biotechnology — in driving progress in emerging markets.
This panel, held in a packed room, focused on how deep technology can address specific challenges in these regions while also highlighting strategies and best practices for leveraging these technologies for economic growth, improving quality of life, and achieving sustainable solutions. We also emphasized that business transformation is not just a simple process, but a goal in itself that helps create long-term value, supported by our special guests on the panel: Todor Mladenov (Member of the Management Board and Executive Officer at Sofia Tech Park JSC, Sofia, Bulgaria), Derya ÇAĞLAR (General Manager at OstimTeknopark, Ankara, Türkiye), Tasos Vasiliadis (CEO, Institute of Entrepreneurship Development/Founder & CEO, JOIST Innovation Park, Larisa, Greece), and Roxana Lupașcu (Innovation & Business Development Expert at Magurele Science Park, Bucharest, Romania) who shared insights on the opportunities and challenges that collaboration brings across various industries and how we can achieve strategic objectives with a greater impact.
Key points of the discussion:
• The role of deep technology in addressing global challenges and how deep technological innovations can help solve pressing problems in emerging markets (e.g., healthcare, education, climate change, food security).
• Successful case studies of deep technology initiatives that have generated positive changes in specific emerging markets and factors that contributed to their success, such as local partnerships, funding, and talent development.
• Barriers to adoption and growth, identifying key challenges faced by startups and innovators in emerging markets in leveraging deep technology (e.g., lack of infrastructure, talent, and investment).
• The importance of building ecosystems, the need for an ecosystem that supports collaboration between government, academia, and the private sector. The best example is the newly established “Alliance of Science and Technology Parks and Innovation Ecosystems in Southeast Europe” (Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Greece, Turkey).
• A few ethical considerations and social impact regarding the ethical implications of deep technology in emerging markets and how we can ensure that innovation is inclusive and benefits a wider population.
Additionally, at the invitation of Evelina Crețulescu, Roxana participated in a live broadcast by @EuronewsRomania, in a panel dedicated to stimulating innovation in business: Strategies for growth and success, alongside Ovidiu Popa, General Director of Viva Telecom, and Costin Dămășaru, CEO of Veruvis. The discussion covered how companies use innovation to enhance customer experience, whether they adapt to market trends, encourage a culture of creativity among employees, and what strategies and funding sources are employed to support innovative initiatives and how we evaluate their success.
This participation of the MSP team in the PROSME Project generated:
• over 85 one-on-one meetings with potential future business partners from the more than 100 companies that showcased over 1,000 cutting-edge technological solutions to the public;
• over 500 visitors at the networking area;
• dynamic and interactive interactions dedicated to exploring technological advancements and the digitalization of businesses;
• an exchange of innovative ideas throughout the two intense days;
• new knowledge, friendships, and plans for the future.
See you at #GoTech2025!
