Because at MSP we like to stay permanently connected with students, at the invitation of Modern Family Romania we accepted to participate in the autumn edition (on September 7) with a 3D modeling and printing workshop, where we were delighted to share with students stories and knowledge about 3D technology.
Why is education the pillar of society?
We cannot talk about technological progress or about sustainability, key topics of our times, without talking about education.
Recent estimates, according to a report of the European Commission – Investing in Education 2025 – suggest that if by 2030 more people acquired a sufficient level of basic skills, the GDP of European countries could grow by 8–10% above current forecasts.
We must understand that all technological transformations happen through people – people we must educate from school – and that today’s students are tomorrow’s researchers and inventors.
Why does MSP carry out such activities?

At MSP, we also try to lay a brick at the foundation of education through our educational activities. The goal of our educational pillar is – and will remain – to connect students with technology and science in interactive ways that are easy to absorb for young minds.
That is why we are glad when we can bring added value to today’s generation through our activities and workshops.
About participation in the Kids and Family Siesta Festival
Ever since the June edition, we enjoyed a large audience: dozens of students came every hour to learn more about how they can bring a 3D object to life and how the 3D printer makes this possible.
Such attitudes from children can only make us happy and give us confidence in what this new generation – eager to innovate and explore since the early grades – will become.
The Kids and Family Siesta Festival is an opportunity for children to learn and discover more, and we are glad that technology has a well-defined place within it. It is also an opportunity for us, as exhibitors, to show what we can do for students and how they can benefit from free courses.
Thus, on this occasion, in addition to the personalized keychain they had the chance to model and print together with our colleague, Laurențiu Dinu, students also learned about the 3D modeling and printing contest recently launched by MSP, which is at its fifth edition this year.
We greatly enjoyed the dialogue with the little ones (and the grown-ups) and we hope that everyone left with a vibrant image of our short meeting and, most importantly, with new knowledge they can apply if they are passionate about 3D technology.
The highlight of September 7 was meeting several students who recognized us from educational activities we had previously organized during Școala Altfel or at similar occasions and who congratulated us for our initiatives – and whom we hope to see again at the 3D modeling and printing contest.
Looking ahead with enthusiasm

We had over 100 visitors in just a few hours, which means there is real interest among children for technology and that it is our duty to help keep alive the flame of their desire for knowledge.
We are eagerly waiting to meet students again at the next educational activities and to see them assimilating and developing new skills in the courses dedicated to 3D technology, which we organize to prepare them for participation in the 3D modeling and printing contest.
As one historian who analyzed the effects of technology on civilizations mentioned: “Technology has become the great steel wing that helps civilization fly.” This suggests that technology is an essential instrument for the progress of civilization and that we must be careful how and when we educate the new generations to use it.
