BlueSpace Technology S.A. is a 100% romanian company founded in 2016 by engineer Constantin Pintilie, with the vision of manufacturing high-tech products and systems in Romania.
The company’s motto is “Because it is possible in Romania”, a registered trademark. The company currently has over 180 employees. At the time of its establishment, a clear market need was identified: in the defense industry, Romania was dominated by mercantile trade, while local production in this segment was almost nonexistent.
BlueSpace Technology’s first products were TEMPEST equipment, the first of their kind in Romania at that time. TEMPEST products are those designed with security measures to prevent the compromise of classified information through unintentional electromagnetic emissions. These products brought official recognition from NATO and the European Union, following an extensive, rigorous and complex process. Today, BlueSpace Technology is the only private company in Eastern Europe producing TEMPEST equipment officially recognized by NATO and the European Union.
This year, the company strengthened its position as a trusted supplier for NATO and the international market, successfully concluding no fewer than four major contracts in January 2026 alone for the delivery of TEMPEST-certified equipment to NATO structures. In terms of exports, the company also achieved excellent results in 2025, delivering such equipment under more than 25 contracts. Its products are integrated into IT networks handling classified data across various NATO institutions and allied or partner countries of Romania, including Bulgaria, Belgium, Spain, Hungary, Greece, the Netherlands, Finland and Ukraine.
This product range includes TEMPEST-protected workstations (levels A/B/C), laptops, printers, monitors and other peripherals, as well as secure communication racks.
The company has its own testing and certification infrastructure, consisting of two measurement and analysis laboratories certified at NATO and EU level. These facilities allow testing and verification of compliance with national, EU and NATO standards applicable in this field, according to SDIP-27. Soon, a new state-of-the-art laboratory will be added for testing and certifying electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) for major combat equipment—tanks, armored fighting vehicles and other large systems. This facility, to be built in Moreni, Dâmbovița County, will be the only one of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe.
In Romania, BlueSpace Technology is a market leader in the construction and integration of indoor and outdoor shooting ranges. It also produces Romanian-made equipment in the fields of cybersecurity, homeland security and electronic warfare, such as antennas, antenna switches, DF systems and radio sensors. The next objective is the development of a full range of portable and mobile radio jamming systems, with a current application being drone disruption.
Avery special project developed by BlueSpace Technology is VLAH, the first Romanian light armored vehicle—an absolute premiere for Romania’s defense industry. It is the first tactical light armored combat vehicle designed and developed using Romanian resources and know-how. The project began in 2022, and in December last year, the first prototype was publicly presented in the presence of over 200 guests. The project involved several strategic partnerships. The first was with the Slovak company Zetor for 3D design. The second partnership was with Uzina Mecanică Moreni, a state-owned company within the portfolio of the National Company ROMARM S.A., operating under the authority of the Ministry of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism. VLAH will be produced at Automecanica Moreni as part of this unique public-private partnership.
Another premiere in Romania: BlueSpace Technology has manufactured the first Romanian drone jamming system, a non-kinetic, portable, standalone defensive system designed to neutralize unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The Romanian Army already operates 300 portable SILENTA 6001 systems and 10 passive NOCTUA 3101 systems for drone detection.
BlueSpace Technology is a trusted partner of OTOKAR in the ATBTU consortium for light tactical armored vehicles. A total of 28 COBRA II combat vehicles will be equipped with the Silenta 4ARH3 system, a state-of-the-art solution designed to counter RCIEDs (Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices).

Silenta 4ARH3 was developed to protect personnel and combat vehicles using advanced jamming techniques. The Turkish company OTOKAR has also announced its intention to develop unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) in Romania in collaboration with its local partner, BlueSpace Technology.
BlueSpace Technology places strong emphasis on local production and continuous investment in its own R&D (Research and Development) department, while also supporting the training of the next generation of specialists through dedicated initiatives:
- BlueSpace Robotics Club – a robotics laboratory established in a Bucharest high school to inspire and train the next generation of engineers and technology specialists
- BlueSpace Drones Engineering Lab – a newly established technological hub created in partnership with the Politehnica University of Bucharest, where students engage in cutting-edge UAV research and development
- BlueSpace Research Institute – the company’s flagship research center, bringing together experts in defense, robotics, artificial intelligence and autonomy to develop revolutionary technologies
